Diana Mendez is responsible for counseling clients through all phases of the government procurement process, including advising and representing clients with teaming arrangements, proposal preparation, responsiveness and responsibility review, minority and disadvantaged business enterprise certifications, contract negotiations, and bid protest litigation. In addition to her position at Llorente & Heckler, P.A., Diana is also a Director at LSN Partners, LLC, a Miami-based, full-service strategic business development, and consulting firm (www.lsnpartners.com).
Before joining Llorente & Heckler, P.A., Diana served as an attorney-advisor for the U.S. Small Business Administration in Herndon, Virginia, where she routinely reviewed loan purchase requests by SBA authorized lenders and advised the center director on whether the loans met SBA requirements. As a result, Diana is uniquely familiar with SBA loan requirements involving, among others, loan documentation, size standards and affiliation issues. Earlier experience includes counseling non-profit organizations on corporate formation and structure.
Diana received her B.A. in Economics and International Relations, magna cum laude, in 2006 from Florida International University. In 2010, she received her J.D., cum laude, from the American University, Washington College of Law, and an M.A. in International Affairs from American University’s School of International Service.
