Diana Mendez is responsible for counseling clients through all phases of the government procurement process, including advising and representing clients with teaming arrangements, proposal preparation, responsiveness and responsibility review, minority and disadvantaged business enterprise certifications, contract negotiations, and bid protest litigation. In addition to her position at Llorente & Heckler, P.A., Diana is also a Director at LSN Partners, LLC, a Miami-based, full-service strategic business development and consulting firm (www.lsnpartners.com).
Before joining Llorente & Heckler, P.A., Diana served as an attorney-advisor for the U.S. Small Business Administration in Herndon, Virginia, where she was responsible for advising the federal agency regarding loan purchases and liquidation of guaranty loans and interpreting SBA regulations for franchise operations, creditor and debtor rights, bankruptcy, and secured transactions. Earlier experience includes counseling non-profit organizations on corporate formation and structure.
Diana received her B.A. in Economics and International Relations, magna cum laude, in 2006 from Florida International University. In 2010, she received her J.D., cum laude, from the American University, Washington College of Law, and an M.A. in International Affairs from American University’s School of International Service.
